Introduction

CNIE's aims and objectives include the promotion of research into distance education theory and practice. The organization has honoured this commitment through the publication of the Journal of Distance Education and the Canadian Journal of Learning and Technology.

The graduate research fund is yet another way for CNIE to express its commitment to the generation of new knowledge. Initiated in 2004-2005, the CNIE Graduate Research Fund awards a stipend that facilitates the conduct of graduate student research.
