Mandate
The professional development committee coordinates the Wise and Witty Weekdays and the Asynch discussions for the membership.

In order to achieve this mandate, the commitee undertakes the following activities:

  1. Survey members to determine professional development needs and interests.
  2. Choose appropriate professional development activities.
  3. Recruit facilitators for professional development activities.
  4. Arrange for the needed facilities, technology, etc., to carry out activity.
  5. Advertise activities to CADE members and other interested organizations (e.g. CAUCE, AMTEC).
  6. Prepare and deliver any necessary support materials for professional development events.
  7. Handle registrations for CADE professional development activities.
  8. Evaluate professional development events.
  9. Work co-operatively with professional development committees of organizations with common interests to plan joint professional development activities when feasible.
